Establishing a working farm in inner Sydney has long been the dream of a team of dedicated volunteers. It’s now closer than ever to becoming a reality and if you haven’t been involved in the project to date, this could be your chance.
The City of Sydney wants to hear from people who’d like to join its City Farm Advisory Group and help transform a disused carpark at the Powerhouse Museum and a section of Sydney Park into thriving urban farms. The two sites will be used to grow fresh fruit and vegies, keep small animals and hold farmers’ markets.
The group will meet monthly to develop the farm’s business plan, design master plans and guide the community consultation process. If you think you have what it takes, download an information pack and application form before Friday 17 February.
