Say goodbye to hyper-consumption and hello to a collaborative economy that allows you to share, loan and swap your stuff and skills in a local marketplace. This workshop will introduce you to various collaborative consumption platforms that already thrive in your neighbourhood including car share, swap parties, land share and skill share. Hear from collaborative consumption champion Annette Louden, the brains behind community bartering program LETS. Also on hand will be Lisa Fox, the co-founder and Director of Open Shed, a peer to peer rental site that enables you to rent or borrow rarely used items and Adam Taylor from Alfalfa House Community Food Coop. TIME Magazine calls collective consumption one of the 10 ideas that will change the world, so come along and find out what's it all about and how you can get onboard in your green village.
