Making the most of your markets means by knowing what to buy, how much to buy and what you can do to ensure nothing is wasted. Join presenter Jared Ingersol, to get a better understanding of the importance of buying local and sustainable produce and witness his cooking demo with fresh produce straight from the market.

Jared is one of Australia’s leading chefs, restaurateurs, writers, and TV presenters, and has spent nearly three decades putting the spotlight on the importance of local, seasonal and sustainable food. Known for his uncompromising commitment supporting small, passionate growers, fishers and farmers, he has pioneered this philosophy with his award-winning restaurant  of 11 years, Dank St Depot – one of the first restaurants in Sydney to put the farmers as well as the chef on the menu.

This workshop is being run by the Sydney Sustainable Markets and funded through a City of Sydney Environmental Grant. Book here or for further information please contact Jacqui on 0416 525 244  or info@sydneysustainablemarkets.org.
